A magician who always wears a mask and does not speak (except through his spider-cat familiar*. Even casual words hold great power and carry an echoing sound, so unless necessary, he never actually speaks.
He's proficient in healing magics as well as crafting a variety of potions, from what you'd expect to the truly bizarre (one client wanted to be a chair. Not kidding. See chapter 2.) One can assume that he can craft a variety of things for a variety of clients, no matter how shady it might seem or even be.
*Not included by default for arachnophobics.
Due to the currently limited amount of info in his comic, I will be headcanoning left and right until the unforeseeable future. As such, I hope to be as flexible as possible where necessary.
Headcanons:
-Due to the power of their voices, magicians are not permitted to be in certain positions of power, and certainly not with speaking roles.
-Sylvan would very much like to speak like a regular person and not warp reality even in small ways whenever he so much as sighs.
-Therefore, he has a side project of trying to find some way to mitigate the effects (but he does have to work to actually have an income.)
-Other magicians have not been successful, either.
